Scripture Card - Revelation 21:4

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my blog today! It has been a long time since I've been in my craft room to make a card. A lot has been going on in my life, particularly with my health, but I'm doing better, and I felt the itch to make cards again. There is a new challenge blog - Mustard Seed Faith Challenges - and I felt it was the perfect time to jump back into the stamping world with their first challenge.

The challenge this week was based on this verse from Matthew 17:20 -
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

I've learned a lot about faith lately and about keeping the faith even through the hard times, but that's a story for another day. The challenge was to use yellow on your creation, and I did that with my patterned paper as well as the crocheted flower I added. My sketch was from last Monday's Mojo Monday #489.

The scripture I used on my card comes from the latest Word Art Wednesday Challenge. They provide a digi image that you can use on your card, if you wish. I love making cards with scripture, so I was happy to include this one on my card.

That's all for me today. It's back to the real world for me tomorrow. I've been on Spring Break this week, so back to work...time to go write lesson plans! Happy Sunday to y'all!

{Word Art Wednesday} Acts 17:27

Hi there! Happy Wednesday to you!

It's time for our weekly Word Art Wednesday challenge

Our scripture this week is Acts 17:27 - "That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after Him and find Him, though He be not far from every one of us."

I used the Split Coast Stampers Sketch Challenge #535 for my card layout. It was a simple one to follow! For my patterned paper, I dug way in the back of my stash and pulled out some October Afternoon Fly a Kite papers! These were always a favorite of mine! I printed this week's word art file directly on patterned paper and accented it with Bisque Liquid Pearls. I did some stitching on my card and finished it off with a nice big bow and some twine!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! Be sure you head over to the Word Art Wednesday blog to see all of the inspiration from the design team! Have a great day!

{word art wednesday} psalm 18:46

Hi there! Happy Wednesday! It's time for this week's challenge at Word Art Wednesday. I wasn't sure I would get a card made this week because the stomach bug visited our house and didn't want to leave! I had it, and then Grayson came down with it. His bug lasted several days. I'm ready for everyone to get well around here!

Our scripture this week is Psalm 18:46 - "The Lord liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted."

I used the current Viva la Verve Sketch for March 2015 Week 3. What a fun sketch! I'm adding this one to my favorites. I chose some bright, springy colors from the Doodlebug Designs Hello Spring line. I printed the word art file directly onto patterned paper. The flags were cut out with the MFT Flag Stax Dienamics. I did some sewing on my card and finished it off with a bow and some pearls.

That is it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure you head over to the Word Art Wednesday blog to grab the word art file and check out the beautiful inspiration from the design team!

"The horse is prepared against the day of battle; but safety is of the Lord."

I kept my card clean and simple today. I used some My Mind's Eye patterned paper and printed my word art file onto the patterned paper. I added some ribbon and pearls to finish my card off...super simple!

{Word Art Wednesday} Hebrews 13:5

Hi everyone!

It's time for another challenge with Word Art Wednesday

Our scripture for this week is Hebrews 13:5 - "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."

You can get the scripture word art file I used on my card over at the Word Art Wednesday blog!

One of our sponsors this week is Taylored Expressions. I have been a long-time fan of Taylored Expressions ever since I first started making cards. I used this adorable TE stamp on my card - The Little Things

I stamped my image and kept the coloring simple. Since I haven't been making cards in awhile, I kinda forgot how to use my Copics...oops! I love that this image didn't require a lot of coloring. I printed the scripture on some patterned paper and cut it out with Labels One Nestabilities. I accented it with a Cream Viva Pearl Pen. I also added some ribbon to my card and a border strip that I cut out with the Mini Scallop Edge Dienamic by MFT Stamps. The patterned paper is Echo Park For the Record 2.

I used a Sweet Sunday Sketch for my card layout. This week's challenge was to use an older sketch, and I used Sketch #251.

Hope Your Day is Fabulous!

Hi there! I hope y'all are having a great weekend! I did some shopping yesterday and got some new storage pieces for my craft room. Now that I have been getting into card-making again, I have been doing some deep cleaning in there. One of my favorite new pieces is a ribbon holder. I will post a picture when I get it hung up on the wall.

I whipped up a birthday card for a friend last week, and I just love how it turned out! Her favorite color is purple, so I wanted to incorporate lots of purples. I used the Doodlebug Designs Kraft in Color paper pad. LOVE this paper! It is so much fun with all the different colors in simple patterns. The sentiment is from Signature Greetings by Papertrey Ink. I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black onto white cardstock and embossed it with the Cuttlebug Quatrefoil embossing folder. I used some kraft-colored thread for a little stitching and finished my card off with some rhinestones and ribbon.

I am entering my card in these challenges:
Crazy 4 Challenges #276 - put a bow on it
Simon Says Challenge - special lady/girly
The Pink Elephant #288 - girly girl

That is it for me today!! Have a great evening! :)

{Word Art Wednesday} Psalm 1:1

Hi there! I have exciting news today! I am now serving on the Word Art Wednesday Design Team! If you aren't familiar with Word Art Wednesday, their challenges are inspired by God's Word! I am thrilled about this opportunity! This also means that I will be posting more regularly to my blog. :)

Word Art Wednesday offers a free word art file on the blog each week! This week's scripture is Psalm 1:1.

"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the cousel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful."

I used Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #258 for my card. I love this sketch with the cute little banners! I printed my word art file and cut it out with circle Nestabilities. The patterned paper is from the My Mind's Eye Collectable Remarkable line. I popped up my word art panel with foam dots and accented it with Bisque Liquid Pearls. The banners were cut out with the MFT Flag Stax Dienamics. I kept this card very simple for a masculine look, and masculine is something I usually struggle with when making cards, but I like how this one turned out.

That is it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure you head over to the Word Art Wednesday blog to grab the free word art file and see the rest of the inspiration from the design team. I hope you'll play along with us this week! :)
