TSG Sneak Peek - When I Grow Up

Hi there! Welcome to Day Two of the There She Goes Clear Stamps Release Week! I'm excited to share my card with today's ADORABLE set with you!!

I think we can all remember back to a time when we idolized our parents, most of us still do, and we wanted to grow up to be JUST like them. I mean, what girl HASN’T put on their mom’s shoes, and what boy hasn’t worn Dad’s tie? Just in time for Mother and Father’s Day, Torico has illustrated the CUTEST dress up set I have EVER seen!!

When I Grow Up is a 4x6 set that includes a total of 15 stamps and will sell for $15.00.

I had SO much fun making this card! The vibrant, girly colors just made me smile!! The papers are from the Echo Park Little Girl collection. I used Split Coast Stampers Sketch Challenge #377 for the layout, and I loved this sketch. I colored my image with Copic markers, and I accented the image panel with a few rhinestones. I stamped the sentiment and cut it out with First Place Ribbon Award Dienamics by MFT Stamps and added a few more rhinestones there to finish it off.

Would you like to win the new When I Grow Up stamp set? TSG149 - Happy Birthday

Hi there!! Today there is a new challenge at the There She Goes blog! This week's challenge is my favorite kind - a sketch challenge!

I created a birthday card for our pastor using the sketch and some There She Goes stamps. Are you wondering which set that is? *GRIN*...it's a new set being released this week called When I Grow Up, and that's all I'm going to say about that! If you want another sneak peek and the details about that set, you'll just have to come back on Wednesday. :)

I paper-pieced the neckties with some FUN new masculine paper from the Echo Park This & That Charming collection. Normally, I don't do masculine very well, but I LOVE these papers!! Anytime I do a masculine card, I almost always add silver brads and twine to it. It lets me feel like I'm embellishing without being too girly. The stamped sentiment is from the Make a Wish set, and I cut it out with the First Place Ribbon Award Dienamics by MFT Stamps.

That's it for me today. Be sure you hop over to the TSG blog to get all the challenge details, and be sure to join us this week since it's release week! We'll start sneak peeks tomorrow! Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Supplies:
Cardstock: Simply Chartreuse, Stamper's Select White (Papertrey Ink)
Patterned Paper: Echo Park This and That Charming
Stamps: When I Grow Up, Make a Wish (There She Goes)
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Embellishments: silver brads, twine, button, foam tape

Christmas Card Challenge #17

Hi there! I hope you're having a good weekend so far! I sure am! Yesterday was an awesome, productive day for me. The weather was beautiful after several days of rainy weather. I got the house cleaned up, my car washed, cleaned and organized my stamp room, and made four cards! Wow! I haven't been that productive in awhile...gotta love those kind of days!

This week's Christmas Card Challenge #17 is a color combo - pink, purple, green, and white. When I read what the colors were, my mind went straight to the BasicGrey Eskimo Kiss line, which incorporates all of those colors.

I used this adorable digi from By Lori Designs called Winter - Dana & Penny. I just love her little penguin! Too cute! I embossed the purple triangles with the Snowflakes embossing folder and accented each one with three white brads. I finished my card off with a bow topped with a snowflake embellishment.

That's it for me today! Thanks sooo much for stopping by! :)

Supplies:
Cardstock: Plum Pudding, Stamper's Select White (Papertrey Ink)
Patterned Paper: BasicGrey Eskimo Kiss
Stamps: Winter Dana and Penny (By Lori Designs)
Ink: Copic markers

TSG148 - Easter & Animals

Hey y'all! Today I'm sharing my card for this week's TSG148 Challenge - Easter and Animals. Before I get to my card, I want to remind you about There She Goes (Again), which is going on all week over at the TSG blog. This is where we feature older sets, and Jessica is offering them at a discounted price! Be sure to check that out before the sale ends!

I used the Hunny Bunnies set for my card. I kept this card super simple and followed this week's Sweet Stop Sketch - SSS150. The best part is that this sweet set is on sale for just $12.75 in the TSG Store right now!

I colored my image with Copic markers and accented it with Liquid Pearls. The sentiment was cut out with Oval Nestabilities, and I also added Liquid Pearls to that. I did lots of stitching on my card.  The patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Howdy Doody collection. I finished my card off with some of my favorite pleated ribbon from RibbonCarousel.com.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Stamper's Select White, Papertrey Ink

{Meljen's Designs} Challenge #102

Hi there!! Today I have a card to share with you for Meljen's Designs Challenge #102. The challenge is to make an all-white card. The only color allowed is in the image.

Since I didn't use any patterned paper at all, I decided to add lots of texture to my white cardstock by using several different embossing folders. I used: Seeing Spots, Swiss Dots, and D'Vine Swirls. The image is Birthday Cupcake - Colored. This card was sooo easy to assemble since the image was pre-colored for me! Love that! I added some White Opal Liquid Pearls to my image panel. I stamped the "happy birthday" sentiment onto the cardstock before I embossed it. I did lots of stitching, again just to add some texture to all of that white, and I finished my card off with a white grosgrain ribbon.

The layout is Mojo Monday 233, and I flipped it to fit my image.

Be sure you hop on over to the Meljen's Designs blog to see the rest of the inspiration from the design team! We'd sure love to have you play along with us this week!! :)

Supplies:
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink Stamper's Select White
Stamps: Birthday Cupcake Colored by Meljen's Designs, Birthday Basics by Papertrey Ink
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Christmas Card Challenge #16

Hi there! It's time for Christmas Card Challenge #16! This week's challenge is to make a shaped card. I make a lot of A2-sized and square cards, and when I have to make a shaped card, I usually don't get too ambitious and just make a circle card. I kept this card super simple, but I love how it turned out!

I cut out the card base with the largest of the Scalloped Circles Nestabilities. I make my circle cards using Method #1 on this post. I like this method because then you see the entire circle on the front of the card with no score line. I embossed the cream background with the Snowflakes embossing folder. The sentiment is an SRM Sticker. The patterned paper is from Echo Park Seasons Greetings. I finished it off with a bow and three red pearls.

That's it for me today! Be sure you check out the Christmas Card Challenges blog to see the other beautiful, shaped cards from the design team! Thanks so much for stopping by today! :)

Supplies:
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink - Vintage Cream, Pure Poppy, Ripe Avocado
Patterned Paper: Echo Park Seasons Greetings
Embellishments: SRM Sticker, ribbon, Kaisercraft pearls
Tools: Classic Circle Nestabilities, Scalloped Circle Nestabilities, Cuttlebug, Snowflakes embossing folder

{Meljen's Designs} Monster Truck

Hi!! I don't know any little boys, so I seldom make cards for them. When I saw this image from Meljen's Designs, I knew I had to make a cute card for a little boy! This image is Flaming Monster Truck. Super cute image, right?!

I paired it up with some patterned papers from the Echo Park Little Boy line. The background was embossed with the Seeing Spots embossing folder, and I rounded the corners of the patterned paper with my corner chomper. The image was popped up with foam tape. I stamped a sentiment at the bottom and finished it off with some sparkly brads.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink
Patterned Paper: Echo Park Little Boy
Stamps: Flaming Monster Truck by Meljen's Designs, sentiment by Stamping Bella
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers
Embellishments: brads, foam tape
Tools: Seeing Spots Embossing Folder, Cuttlebug, Classic Circle Nestabilities, We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper

Tuesday Morning Sketch ~ Happy Easter!

Hi!! Do you use sketches when you make cards? I always use them. They are a really good starting point. Sometimes I copy the sketch exactly, and sometimes I change an element or two. I was super excited to find a new sketch challenge blog - Tuesday Morning Sketches! They are being sponsored today by There She Goes Clear Stamps!

Here's this week's sketch.

I knew right away that this would be such a fun sketch to play along with! It took me awhile to cut out all those little squares and layer them on the scalloped squares, but it was totally worth it. The paper is Springtime by Echo Park. Even though it's hard to see, I embossed the white background with the Polka Dots embossing folder. I used the newly released Egg-stra Special set by There She Goes. I stamped my image and colored it with Copic markers and cut it out with Oval Nestabilities. I accented the border with White Opal Liquid Pearls. Since I loved the glittery Easter eggs when I was a kid, I added some Stickles to the eggs in the basket! A little glitter never hurt! I finished off my card with some saddle-stitch ribbon. I added the sentiment to the inside.

Be sure you hop over to the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog to see all the sketch details. Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

TSG147 - Hidden Surprise!

Hi there! It's time for a There She Goes Challenge! This week our challenge is brought to us by Theresa! She has challenged us to make a card or project with a hidden surprise. Whether it is a gift card, chocolate, or an explosion card….we want to see what you are hiding!!

I recently pinned this gift card holder that I found on my fellow DT member, Karen Giron's, blog. Her gift card holder is just gorgeous!! Karen found the tutorial on Gina K.'s blog, and I saved it because I loved the way the gift card popped up on the inside. I decided to use that tutorial to make my hidden surprise project for today.

I used some Lost & Found Union Square papers by My Mind's Eye, and the stamp set I used was Perk Up by There She Goes. Since there wasn't a lot of space to embellish, I kept it pretty simple and just added some black Twinkles and a cream twill ribbon. I also stamped the sentiment and added it as a little tag.

I decorated the inside with the same patterned papers but left some blank cardstock to write on. Yes, I know that is a Walmart Congratulations gift card, and it has nothing to do with coffee. LOL! It was the only gift card I had, and it worked as a photo prop! I'm going to put a gift card for the local coffee shop in here later on. I closed my gift card holder with a little bit of velcro. I'll definitely be using this gift card holder tutorial again because it was soooo super simple. It looks kinda complicated because of the fold for the gift card, but it's not hard at ALL. Try it!!

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project with a Hidden Surprise, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (March 19th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG147 so we can check out your beautiful work!

That's it for me! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!!

Christmas Card Challenge #15

Hi there!! I hope you're having a good weekend so far! I got some stamping time yesterday, and I really enjoyed that! The only thing I'm not enjoying about this weekend is the fact that we lost an hour. I'll get over it, though. LOL!

This week's Christmas Card Challenge #15 is to use this inspiration photo below.

Like a lot of the other design team members, I was inspired by the colors of this photo, so I dug through my papers for something that had a lot of red and white in it. I used the Wintertime collection by Echo Park. I stamped the sentiment from the Wings of Joy set by Taylored Expressions and colored it with Copic markers. I used White Opal Liquid Pearls around my edges of my image panel. I did some stitching around the edges of my papers and finished this card off with a white ribbon.

Be sure you hop over to the Christmas Card Challenges blog to see what the design team has to share with you! Thanks sooo much for stopping by! :)

Congratulations, Mr & Mrs!

Hi!! I was asked by a co-worker to make a wedding card, and this is what I came up with. I used some of my new My Mind's Eye papers and a MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge from a few weeks ago.

The main stamp is by Unity Stamp Company, and the sentiment is from There She Goes Clear Stamps.

I cut out the main sentiment with Circle Nestabilities, and the "Congratulations" sentiment was cut out using the Mini Tabs Dienamics by MFT Stamps. I added a border with the Dainty Lace Border Dienamics. I also added some White Opal Liquid Pearls to my card and did some stitching as well. I finished it off with some pretty white pleated ribbon from Ribbon Carousel.com! Have you checked out this store yet? Corinna is having a sale for the entire month of March. You can find the details here!

{Meljen's Designs} Challenge #100

Hi there!

That's right...it's Challenge #100 at Meljen's Designs! This week's challenge is a sketch challenge. I love sketch challenges because I always use a sketch when I make cards anyway, so it's not pushing me out of my comfort zone. :)

Here's the sketch.

I used one of the latest releases from Meljen's Designs, Fancy Swirls Peacock. I was so excited to see that Melissa drew a peacock. I think they are so pretty! I colored it up in shades of teal and purple to match the patterned paper that I chose - Happy Go Lucky from My Mind's Eye. I added glitter to the ends of the tail feathers. I did some stitching around the edges of some of my papers and accented my image panel with Liquid Pearls. That's something I've started doing sometimes because I love the look. When I feel like there is too much "white space," I like to finish it off with the Liquid Pearls, and it seems to tone down all that white.

The sentiment is from Day or Night by There She Goes Clear Stamps, and I stamped it on a label that I cut out with the First Place Ribbon Award Dienamics by MFT Stamps. I recently purchased some crocheted flowers from the fabulous Danielle Lounds, so I added one of those along with a button and some twine to finish off my card.

Be sure you hop over to the Meljen's Designs blog to check out the rest of the inspiration from the design team! I hope you'll play along with us this week! We'd love to see your creations!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Supplies:
Cardstock: Kraft, Stamper's Select White (PTI)

Embellishments: White Opal Liquid Pearls, crocheted flower, Dazzling Details (Stampin' Up)

Pinterest-Inspired Message Boards

Hi there!! As much as I love to make cards, I also love to alter items. It's fun to take something and make it look a different way! I especially love to alter things I can give as gifts or use in my craft room. So, when I saw this message board on Joanne Basille's blog, I knew that I had to make one for myself! I have seen several ideas on Pinterest where someone took a pretty piece of patterned paper and put it inside a frame for a message board, but I love how Joanne decorated hers, so I decided to pretty mine up as well! Actually, when I saw her frame, I "pinned it!"

Three of my cousins all have February birthdays, and since they are all in high school or college, I thought these message boards would be the perfect thing to help them jot down little notes.

These boards were all so easy to make. I just measured my paper to fit the frame (8x10-inches), and decorated it. I used an assortment of border, alpha, and flower dienamics by MFT Stamps to embellish them. I put the paper on the inside and hot-glued my flowers and other embellishments to the outside of the frame. I added a dry erase marker to each one, and they made perfect gifts!

Oh, and I'm so sorry about the horrible photos! It is very hard to take a good photo of something with glass in it. Maybe I just need some camera pointers.

This one is my favorite...LOVE those bright Girl Friday papers!

This one I made using the colors for the school that my cousin goes to.

And last, I made this one to match my cousin's bedding in her room. I think it turned out to be the most elegant one.

I still haven't made myself one, but I did buy the frame! I just need to get it done. I want to use it to keep up with design team reminders.

Thanks, Joanne, for the inspiration!! I hope I've inspired you readers to alter something!

Thanks for stopping by today! :)

MFT Dienamics Used: Monarch Border, Simply Scallops Border, Hearts a Plenty, Loopy Bloom, By the Letters, Rolled Scallop Flower. All of the felt is from Benzie Bazaar. It cuts with the MFT Dienamics like a dream!

TSG146 - Tag It!

Hi there! Today I am posting my first official post as a Trendsetter for There She Goes Clear Stamps!!

This week ourchallenge is brought to us by our new Trendsetter, Kim! She has challenged usto make tags!! Tags are great for gift giving, or adding to a card base to makea card…the skies the limit!

I needed to wrap up a few birthday gifts over the weekend, so this challenge was the perfect one for me. I whipped up a few tags to go on my gift packaging.

I don't have a tag die (wish I did!), so I cut out the tags with my Cricut...which is about the only thing I ever use that machine for these days! I got it when I first started paper-crafting as a scrapbooker. Then I discovered card-making, and now the Cricut has a home in the closet.

I embossed my tags with the Seeing Spots embossing folder and added a little patterned paper to each one from the My Mind's Eye Happy Go Lucky collection. The scalloped strip was cut out with the Simply Scallops Border Dienamics by MFT Stamps. I used the Make a Wish stamp set and cut out my stamped images with Circle Nestabilities. I also added a blingy circle to each one. Love that touch of sparkle! I stamped the banner and happy birthday sentiment from the stamp set and cut them out and popped them up on the tag with a little foam tape. Some ribbon and twine finished these tags off! They made the perfect addition to my gifts!

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a Tag or group of Tags, and then go to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (March 12th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

I stamped my sentiment on the blue cardstock and embossed it. Then I added a few Twinkles to accent it. I finished my card off with a sparkly white ribbon and a snowflake brad.

Be sure you hop over to the Christmas Card Challenges blog to see the rest of the inspiration from the design team! Thanks sooo much for stopping by today! :)
