CCC22–Punches

Hi there! Happy Sunday! Only a few more Sundays until I’m out of school for summer. I can’t wait!!
This week’s Christmas Card Challenge is to use punches on your card. I saw this card on Pinterest, and I absolutely loved it! I thought it was clean, simple, and fabulous! I decided to CASE this card for today’s challenge. I think the original stamper’s card turned out way cuter. Smile

Here’s mine!

CCC21 - A Card Recipe

Good morning! Happy Sunday to you!

I had a great day yesterday! I went shopping with my parents and my brother. I had a few gift cards to spend. Bath & Body Works had their soap on sale, and I got 10 bottles for $25 and change. Can't beat that! I already had some at home, so now I have enough to last me probably a year or more! LOL! I got a few things at Ulta and Kohl's, too. Oh, and Mama and I went in Charming Charlie for the first time. I posted on Facebook that it could be my new happy place...a whole store filled with tables of nothing but accessories and every table was a different color theme. Wow. Loved it! We ate lunch at the New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood Company, and it was really good! That was my first time eating there. It was a good day! I even found time to make this Heath Bar Cake when I got home. It's a favorite of mine.

This week over at Christmas Card Challenges, we have a card recipe challenge for you! I will admit that I was a little scared at first, but my card came together just fine. I always just lots of patterned papers, stamps, and ribbons anyway!

The recipe is: 3 designer papers, 2 stamps, 1 ribbon/button.

I used the Holly Jolly stamp set by There She Goes, and the sentiment and the snowman are two different stamps, so that works for the challenge. The papers are from the Echo Park Holly Jolly line. I added a scalloped border, Liquid Pearls, rhinestones, and a ribbon to finish it off!

That's it for me! Hop over to the Christmas Card Challenges blog to see what the rest of the design team came up with! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hi there! Happy Saturday! Today There She Goes Clear Stamps is sponsoring Crazy 4 Challenges. Jessica has generously offered a $25 gift certificate to the winner of the challenge!! This week's challenge is to use black cardstock on your card.

I decided to go clean and simple. :) The layout is iSpy Sketches #12. I love that original card by Melyssa! This is definitely a sketch I'll use again. It was fun!

I used this sentiment from the Numbered Days set. The background was embossed with the Seeing Spots embossing folder. I made the bow with my Bow Easy, and I accented the card with some rhinestones. Gotta have a little bling for this girly card! Oh, and the paper is Echo Park Be Mine.

That's it! I'm off to get ready for a day of shopping and card-making! Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

TSGA - Under the Weather

Hi there! It's our final day of There She Goes Again Week at TSG, which is where we feature older stamp sets. Today I am using the Under the Weather set

I colored my image with Copic markers and added a few rhinestones to accent the image panel. The papers are Crate Paper Brook. I thought this color combo would go good with the "rain" theme. I embossed the yellow panel with the Polka Dots embossing folder and added a little ribbon. I cut out the sentiment with the 1st Place Ribbon Award Dienamics by MFT Stamps and also accented that with a few rhinestones.

Hop over to the TSG blog and check out all the new cards the Trendsetters made with this week's There She Goes Again sets! Thanks for stopping by!

Meljen's Designs Challenge #106

Hi there!! Do you use Pinterest? I *love* it! I'm not quite obsessed with it, but I do take a few minutes daily just to check for new pins that I might like. One of my boards is called "Card Inspiration," and a lot of times I browse through it for card-making ideas. I've had this card pinned for awhile because I really loved the clean and simple layout of it. I especially loved how she only embossed half of the cardstock. I struggle with CAS, so I pinned it hoping to have a chance someday to CASE the layout. Well, here's my CASE of it!!

I made this card for this week's Meljen's Designs Challenge #106 to make a spring card. I used the Tulip Buggies image by Meljen's Designs...such as CUTE image!! This card came together SO fast! I embossed the yellow cardstock with the Polka Dots embossing folder. The strip of patterned paper is from Country Drive by Echo Park. I stamped the sentiment on a little flag and accented it with a rhinestone. Easy peasy!!

That's it for me today! Be sure you hop over to the Meljen's Designs blog to see the rest of the challenge inspiration from the design team! We'd love to have you play along with us this week!

TSGA - LOL Taglines

Hi y'all!! It's There She Goes Again Week. That's where we featured older stamp sets all week long, and the best part is that those sets are on sale this week!

I used the LOL Taglines set on my card today, and oh my goodness...I had SO much fun making this card!! I had some new paper that I got from Ribbon Carousel that I just HAD to use, and I love the bright, fun colors and just how it all came together! The paper is Fabulous by Simple Stories, and I paired it with some Lemon Tart cardstock by PTI. I've been hoarding those rhinestone circles, so since this was a girly card, I decided to jazz up my card with some bling. I even added some Twinkles to the scalloped border. I cut out my sentiment (how funny is that?) with the Ribbon Tag Trio 3 Nestabilities and ran some Celery Satin Grosgrain ribbon through it that I got from RibbonCarousel.com

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed my card! :)

Springtime Wreath

Hey y'all!

I made this spring wreath a few weeks ago, and I just remembered to take a photo of it today!

I was going for this look. Kristen's wreath is sooo pretty! She is so good with flowers and things like that. I am NOT good at arranging flowers. I wanted to fill my wreath up with flowers like she did, but when I started putting my flowers on, the wreath just looked stupid. Fail. Oh well!

I thought it turned out cute, though. The bunnies didn't really scream "Easter" to me, so I think I'm going to go ahead and leave it for the rest of the month and then make me a summer one with some bright colors. I love making these mesh wreaths. They are a lot of fun!

All of the supplies were purchased at Hobby Lobby...50% off of everything, too! Ya can't beat that with a stick! :)

Thanks for stopping by today!

{CCC #20} Twine

Hi there! Happy Sunday! Unfortunately, this is my last day of Spring Break before I have to go back to work tomorrow! Yuck! The good thing is that it won't be too long until I'm out for summer, and then I'll have lots of stamping time!

This week's Christmas Card Challenge is to use twine on your card. I made this card using the Inspired by Christmas set by MFT Stamps. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Rich Cocoa and cut it out with Rectangle Nestabilities. The papers are Tinsel and Twig by The Girls Paperie. I added ribbons, twine, and pearls to embellish my card. The layout is iSpy Sketches #11. I love the idea behind this fun, new sketch challenge blog! I do love myself a good sketch challenge! However, this is the first time I've played along! I'll definitely be playing along more in the future!

My Stampbooking Attempt

Yes, you read that right. I made a scrapbook page! The last time I did a scrapbook page was...well, scratch that. I don't remember.

Last weekend it was my turn to do the Stampbook Saturday post over at the There She Goes blog. The idea behind it is to use a card from the TSG gallery as inspiration for your page and to use TSG stamps on it...hence the name stampbooking.

First, I picked out my picture...a wedding photo since those were the only ones I had printed up. Then, I decided to use the Bloom stamp set. I went to the Bloom gallery for some inspiration and spotted this gorgeous card by the fabulous Jessie. I knew right away that this was what I had to use as my inspiration piece because these were my exact wedding colors! How perfect is that??

This is the page I made using the Bloom stamp set, some BasicGrey papers, and a blingy flourish. I also did some stitching. The photo is of Andrew and I with my grandmother. We're not really that orange. That's what happens when you try to take photos of photos, or maybe I just need some camera skills.

I was actually really happy with how this turned out, and now I have it on display in my stamp room. Maybe scrapbooking (or stampbooking in this case) isn't so bad after all! What's great about using stamps is that you can color them to match your paper, whereas if you were using stickers, you would have to match everything up.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend! :)

{TSG} Happy Birthday

Hi there!! I love this month's Sketch for You to Try, so I decided to play along again!

There is a man at my church who shares my birthday, and he always sends me a card. This is the one I made for him. I kept this masculine card very simple. That made it easy to mail, too!

I used the Make a Wish stamp set by There She Goes Clear Stamps and colored this image with my Copic markers. I did some sponging, too. The background was embossed with the Seeing Spots embossing folder, and I added three silver brads to the top corner. I stamped the "happy birthday" sentiment in the bottom corner.

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Supplies:
Cardstock: Kraft, White
Patterned Paper: Echo Park This and That Charming
Stamps: Make a Wish by There She Goes

A TSG Sale!!

Hey there! I just wanted to pop in real quick and let y'all know about this awesome sale at There She Goes!! Here's all the details!

{MFTWSC67} Strong

Hi there! I *love* the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenges, but I usually don't get enough time to play along. Since I had a lot of stamping time this week, I played along with the sketch yesterday...on the same day it was revealed! I'm quite proud of myself. :)

Since the sketch had a long image panel, I wanted to ink up my Vertical Greetings stamp set. I bought that set because I loved the sentiments so much, but I hadn't had a chance to use it until yesterday.

The paper is from the This and That Line by Echo Park - my favorite paper company! I stamped the sentiment in Memento Rich Cocoa and cut it out using the die that came with the stamp set. I punched the borders with the Dainty Lace Border Dienamics. I embellished my card with lots of stitching, a few brads, a fancy flourish cut-out, and a large rolled rose flower topped with a button and twine. This is an all-MFT card! Love it! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'm off to make more cards...

Supplies:
Cardstock: Dark Chocolate, Stamper's Select White (PTI)
Patterned Paper: This and That by Echo Park

Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
Embellishments: brown brads, white felt, button, twine, foam tape

{SSS153 & WT369} Happy Birthday

Hi y'all! I've been on Spring Break this week - and enjoying every minute of it, I might add!! My favorite part is all the time I've been getting to spend in my stamp room. Love it!!

Andrew's dad's birthday is today, so I made this card for him. The layout is Sweet Stop Sketch #81, and I flipped it on its side to work with my image. This week for Sweet Stop Sketch #153 the Sugar Babies used past sketches, so I chose to use the one that Cathy and Wendy used. I am also playing along with the Ways to Use It Challenge #369 at SCS - to use your favorite coloring tool! I used Copic markers to color my image. The stamps are from the Taylored Expressions Love Grows Here set, and I used my favorite new masculine papers - This and That Charming by Echo Park. I emellished my card with some brown brads, Liquid Pearls, and a border cut out with the Monarch Border Dienamics by MFT Stamps.

Well, that's it! Thanks so much for stopping by today! :)

{TSG151} Love Birds

Hi y'all! I have another card for this week's There She Goes Challenge #151. The challenge is to use ribbon on your card. I used some pretty red satin ribbon on this card, and I love how bold it looks against the neutral colors I used! Black and red is a favorite color combo of mine. In fact, those are my kitchen colors

Back to my card...I actually made this for a wedding card. I used the Love Birds set by There She Goes and colored it with Copic markers. I embossed the Kraft background with the Texture Script embossing folder and did some stitching with black thread...love how it pops! I finished off my card with some black pearls.

We'd love to have you play along with us at TSG this week!! Go check out the challenge! Thanks for stopping by! :)

{Organization} Copics & Die Storage

Hi there!! I am pretty OCD about keeping my stamp room clean and organized. When a few things are out of place, it drives me crazy! Here are a few of my latest additions to my stamp room!

I had the original Copic Cubbie, but I was running out of room with it. Since the company discontinued it, I looked online for directions to make one and found directions to make one out of foam board. While I probably could have done this myself, I knew that my dad would do a better job because he actually builds remote control airplanes out of foam board and flies them. Let the pros do it, right? He made me two of them and glued them together. I love it!! I have some "growing room," too. LOL! I know a lot of you also had the Copic Cubbie, so I wanted to share this with you!

Next up is my die storage!! I used to store my dies in QuicKutz magnetic folders. I
had a few of them, and just like the Copics, I ran out of room. I also wanted a storage system that would allow me to store ALL of my dies together - Nestabilties, MFT Dienamics, etc.

I saw this idea on Nicole Heady's blog. I loved it, but I didn't really like the idea of the CD envelopes. I wanted a magnetic system.

I saw this idea on Ashley Cannon Newell's blog (sorry, it wouldn't let me save the picture), and she used magnets, so I combined Nicole's box with Ashley's magnet method and ta-da...here's what I came up with!

I got the box at Walmart. It was less than $8. I wanted black, but all the black ones were beat up. Oh well...pink's fun, right? This is actually a CD storage box, and you can get them in the office supply section at Walmart.

I used some cardstock to make my dividers and my handy-dandy label maker to put the names of my sections.

I didn't make labels for my chipboard because well...that would've just been WAY too much labeling. What I really LOVE about this system is that I can get ALL of my dies into one box. Even my border dienamics from MFT Stamps fit in there! I was worried they would be too tall, but they weren't. I labeled the back of each border dienamic with a label, as well. I'm a little anal about labeling things.

I just cut chipboard to fit the box, and I cut my magnet about half-an-inch shorter in height so that I would have room to write the name of the dies. I've been hoarding chipboard/thin cardboard ever since I started paper-crafting thinking that I might need it for something someday. I'm glad I saved it! I had plenty! I got the magnet in rolls at Hobby Lobby using my 40 percent off coupons. It was $9.99 a roll regular price. I went ahead and made me a few extra cardboard squares so that I would have room for new dies!

I also picked up an extra box when they put them on clearance, and I discovered that my Cuttlebug embossing folders fit perfectly in there. Score!

I hope this gives your some organization inspiration for your own stamp room!

Thanks for stopping by! :)

{TSG151} Ribbon Time!

To see my blog candy details, click here!

This week our There She Goes challenge is brought to us by Corinna! She has challenged us to use ribbon on our card or project!! The sky is the limit with ribbon, so use it however crafty way you see fit!!

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a project using ribbon, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (April 16th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated. :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG151  so we can check out your beautiful work!

I used this week's Mojo Monday Sketch #236. I LOVE this sketch!! I did some stitching around the edges, and this was the first time I tried stitching around rounded corners. Yup, it's not perfect. It's a skill I want to learn. I just need some practice!

The stamp set I used is Day or Night by TSG. I colored it with Copic markers. I stamped the sentiment on a little tag that I cut out with the 1st Place Ribbon Award Dienamics by MFT Stamps. I finished my card off with a ribbon, button, and some twine.

I hope you'll play along with us this week in the TSG Challenge!! Thanks so much for stopping by today! :)

Christmas Card Challenge #19

Hi there!! Happy Easter to you!!

First of all, I would like to thank you sweet friends for following me over here to this blog. This transition has been such a hassle, but I really appreciate your support!

I have a card for you for this week's Christmas Card Challenge #19. The challenge is to use Flower Soft or Flocking on your card. I don't have any Flower Soft, but I did have some Polar White Flocking, so I used that to add some snow on my stamped Christmas tree and to the bottom of the tree.

The stamp set is Wings of Joy by Taylored Expressions. I accented the image panel with Cream Viva Pearl Pens. I embossed the Kraft background with the Snowflakes embossing folder and did lots of stitching on my card. This paper is one of my favorite Christmas collections - Echo Park's Seasons Greetings.

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, but this layout is the Deconstructed Sketch #46, but I did change the long rectangular panel to an oval. I walked a little on the wild side with this sketch. ;)

That's it for me today. Be sure you hop over to the Christmas Card Challenges blog to see the beautiful inspiration from the design team!! Thanks for stopping by!

Meljen's Designs Anniversary Blog Hop

**For my There She Goes challenge card, please scroll down a little bit. Thanks!!**

Hi there! Meljen's Designs is having an Anniversary Blog Hop to honor the anniversary of Meljen's Designs!! You should have came here from Audrey's blog. If not, be sure you hop back over there to see what she's created for you!

The designers are all using their favorite images in the hop today. I had a hard time picking a favorite, since I love so many of Melissa's images. I finally settled on Fancy Little Teapot because this was one of the very first Meljen's Designs images that I ever used, and it's always been a favorite of mine. I colored it with Copic markers and accented my image panel with Buttercup Liquid Pearls. The patterned papers are My Mind's Eye Howdy Doody, and I picked them because I thought the flowers kinda matched the flower on the teapot. I did some stitching around each of the vertical panels. For the sentiment, I just typed it up on the computer, printed it, cut it out, and popped it up with some foam tape.

You have an opportunity to win this Fancy Little Teapot image!! Just leave a comment here on this post, and on Friday I will post a winner! Be sure you comment on all the blogs because each designer is giving a digi away!!

Also, Meljen's Designs is having a Buy One Get One Free sale this week! You can click here to visit the store and take advantage of this awesome sale!!
