Scripture

Inspired Stamps is offering a $15 gift certificate to our winner!

I had SO much fun with this card! When I got this brand new stamp set, Beach Bums by There She Goes, I thought I would do a card with a scene like this. So when I saw that this week's SSIC challenge was to use torn paper, I knew it was perfect for my sand! I used some self-adhesive cork and tore it with my fingers. Tearing it gave it that rough, not-perfect look that is perfect for sand! I sponged the background of my image to make a sky and colored and cut out the palm tree and crab to make a little scene. They are popped up with foam dots. The patterned paper - Snorkel by Como Cricket - is OLD. I dug it way out of the bottom of my patterned paper bin. I stamped the sentiment on a flag and attached it to my scene. The yellow strip of paper was embossed with the Cuttlebug Polka Dots embossing folder for a little texture. I finished my card off with some white cotton twill ribbon and a few rhinestones.

My card layout is the sketch from this week's There She Goes Challenge #166. It's a great sketch!! Pin it!

Challenges I Used:
Crazy 4 Challenges #147 - Create a card based on what you like to do on a hot summer's night (go swimming!)
Papercraft Star - inspiration photo
Twisted Tuesday Challenges #16 - include a tree with a ribbon knot or bow

Be sure you check out the cards by these ladies!

TSG Enjoy Life Blog Hop Challenge

Hi there! It is Day Three of previews for There She Goes Release Week, and I just LOVE this YUMMY set we have for you today! :)

No sweeter treat, or better way to Enjoy Life in the summer time than an ice cream cone, am I right? Well, Torico has made a FABULOUS set of mix and match patterns of ice cream, and their cones, for you to custom make your own YUMMY treats! And even better, we have custom made our own Die’s to go along with this FABULOUS set!!! They are a set of three dies including two ice cream tops, measuring at approximately 1 1/4" and 1", and one cone measuring at 1 1/8".

Enjoy Life is a 4x4 set that includes a total of 11 stamps and will sell for $10.00.
The Enjoy Life dies will sell separately for $8.25.

I had so much fun making this card! I wanted to go with bright, girly colors, so I used the Echo Park Little Girl collection for the paper. The card layout is Mojo Monday #251. I cut the ice cream scoops out of cardstock with the coordinating dies and embossed them with the Cuttlebug Polka Dots embossing folder to give them some texture. I stamped a cone image on the cone diecut, but it is hard to see. To finish off my card, I stamped the sentiment in the bottom corner and added a ribbon and a few Kaisercraft Sparklets - those were made for me, I just know it! :)

Would you like to win the new Enjoy Life stamp set and matching Dies? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. TSG Happy Trails Blog Hop Challenge

Hi there! It's Day Two of sneak peeks for There She Goes Release Week!!

Torico has created another super cute character for us to love, and this adorable little guy is hitting the road! Perfect for your kids leaving for college, the military, or just for moving on to another path, this set, and its coordinating sentiments, will send them off the right way.

Happy Trails is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 5 stamps and will sell for $7.00.

When I saw the words on the sign, I knew this would be the perfect stamp set to make my friend, Rachel, a card. We have taught together for a few years now, but she recently finished her counseling degree and got a counseling job at a different school. I am so happy for her, but I will miss her! I made this card to wish her the BEST!

I kept the card design simple since I wanted to focus on the sign. I usually don't do clean and simple, so I feel like something is missing! I embossed the background with the Seeing Spots embossing folder and used some dies for the clouds and grass. The clouds were cut out of felt, and I outlined them with some glitter. It's hard to see that in the photo, but they're nice and sparkly for real. I promise. :) I stitched around the edges to finish the card off.

Would you like to win the new Happy Trails stamp set? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. TSG Maidbot Blog Hop Challenge

Hi there! It's time for this week's Release Week at There She Goes, and we have some extra CUTE stamps to show off for you this week! Let's get started!

Another FUN addition to her SUPER CUTE robot line, Torico is back with this month’s Maidbot. I know we all WISH we had one, and well, now you SORT OF do!!!! Imagine the fun cards and scrapbook pages you can make with this cutie, and her cleaning tools!

Maidbot is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 6 stamps and will sell for $7.00.

I used this week's There She Goes Challenge #166 for the card layout. I always LOVE the TSG Sketch Challenges! I colored Maidbot with Copic markers. When I was opening one of my red Copics, it splattered a drop of ink at the top, so I decided to use Liquid Pearls to cover it up. Hey, mistakes are just opportunities to embellish, right? :) The paper is from a new paper pad I had on my desk - Summer Fresh by Simple Stories. I love those colors!! I finished my card off with some silver brads and a red ribbon.

Would you like to win the new Maidbot stamp set? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. Up until recently, I have been very afraid of clean and simple cards, but now, I'm starting to embrace the. I love how this one turned out; I think it's the colors I love so much!

This was a great sketch because it allowed me to use up scraps and not have to cut into any whole sheets of paper. That's always good!! I adhered each paper strip to the white cardstock and adhered it to the Kraft base with foam tape. I added a ribbon, and since I was running low on white ribbon, instead of tying a whole bow, I just tied a knot.I stamped a sentiment from the There She Goes Bloom stamp set and accented it with a few pearls.

Okay, that's it for me today! Be sure you check out the cards from these ladies, though! They never fail to create something beautiful!

Christmas Card Challenge #34

Hi there!!

This week's Christmas Card Challenge is to make a window card. I must confess that this was my very first window card. Another confession...I was afraid! I think it turned out okay, though. I stress the okay part because it's kinda on the crooked side. To make my window, I just cut out squares in a piece of Kraft cardstock using a square Nestabilitie die.

The stamp set I used was Sparkle and Cheer by Taylored Expressions. The patterned paper is 12 Days of Christmas by My Mind's Eye.

That's it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Supplies:
Cardstock: Kraft, Stamper's Select White, Simply Chartreuse (PTI)

Stamps: Sparkle and Cheer by Taylored Expressions
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Embellishments: PTI ribbon, Kaisercraft pearls, foam tape

TSGA ~ Seasons Greetings

Hi there! I can't believe that I haven't even posted to my blog this week, but things have just been so busy around here!

I was in Orlando over the weekend for the Jostens Renaissance conference for educators. It was amazing, and I left with SO many awesome ideas to put to use in my classroom! Then I worked at the school Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Today I went shopping for more classroom stuff and new work clothes. Busy! Also, we had some bad weather here yesterday, and lightning messed up some things here around the house, so it's just been crazy!

However, I did get a little time to make a card for this week's There She Goes Again feature this week! For TSGA week, we are showcasing these stamp sets this week: Snowy Days, Penguin Pals, and Seasons Greetings. It is Christmas in July at TSG!  If you used the code JULY12 when you checkout by July 22, you will receive 15 percent off your order!!

Because things have been crazy, and I didn't have a lot of time today for my card, I decided to borrow a technique from a fellow trendsetter, Julie Lacey, and not do any coloring on my image. I really like how this turned out. :)

I kept my card simple and followed a sketch from a few weeks ago from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. I love Karen's awesome sketches! I accented my card with a Cream Viva Pearl Pen and some Kraft ribbon.

Be sure to check out the new cards from the Trendsetters over at the TSG blog today!

Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Cardstock: PTI Kraft and Vintage Cream
Patterned Paper: Seasons Greetings by Echo Park
Stamps: Seasons Greetings by There She Goes Clear Stamps
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Block
Embellishments: Cream Viva Pearl Pen, PTI Kraft ribbon, foam tape
Tools: sewing machine

Add some sparkle to your card.

Stamps of Life is offering a free stamp set to our winner!

If you've been following my blog for awhile, then you probably know that this challenge was EASY for me because I LOVE to add sparkle to my card! My new favorite embellishment is the Sparklets by Kaisercraft. I was so happy when I realized that my favorite store, RibbonCarousel.com, sells them! I only bought the clear, but I wish I had them in EVERY color! Of course, I had to add a few of them to my card today for some SPARKLE!

My card uses the What's Cooking A La Mode stamp by MFT Stamps, and it also follows this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch #80. This is definitely a Krafty card because I used Kraft paper, Kraft ribbon, and Kraft-colored thread! It sure was fun to color up that sweet image. She reminds me of myself because I love to bake, except she's a LOT skinnier. LOL!! I added some glitter to the sash of her apron for even more sparkle. I used the MFT 1st Place Ribbon Award Dienamics to make a little flag for my sentiment, and the border was cut with the MFT Simply Scallops Border Dienamic and embossed with the Cuttlebug Polka Dots embossing folder.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Be sure to check out the rest of the inspiration from these sweet ladies!! :)
